1. Rehydrating your body by drinking either sports drinks or water with a meal after physical exercise yields the same results (Evans). Both are beneficial to your health post exercise.
2. However, for athletic individuals, studies show that cumulative positive effects may be correlated to consuming hydrogen-rich water after engaging in strenuous muscle contractions (Kosuke).
3. Doing physical exercise is beneficial to your overall health and fitness. Water intake before and after exercise may improve endurance significantly when taken in adequate amounts (Kavouras).
4. For both children and adult athletes, this is especially critical on hot days. Sports drinks containing carbohydrates and electrolytes have been shown to improve trial and time to exhaustion performance when consumed on a continuous 60-minute exercise during the heat (Scrivin).
5. For exercise duration less than 60 minutes, adequate water intake will improve overall physiological function.
